3319.1 | Try Resilience.... | NAC::LICAUSE | | Mon Mar 04 1996 08:28 | 24 |
| RE: Address lists
We've done something similar with certain bridges in that we have used
Resilience to first backup the complete image of the bridge, then
modified the .SDF file to include the appropriate filters in the
particular section of the .SDF file.
You then restore either the entire bridge or just the filter section as
need be.
Perhaps someone from the HUBwatch or Resilience group could expand on
this or offer a better solution?
RE: Password protection....
The only such protection that I am aware of is the use of Read/Write
community strings. You could create a community known only to the
management or responsible group.
Again someone from the DEChub group could probably expand further on
this?

3319.2 | You mean "MultiChassis Manager Issues", right? ;-{)} | SLINK::HOOD | They call me MISTER Dilbert. | Mon Mar 04 1996 10:06 | 8 |
| Password protection for all clearVISN applications, including
Multichassis Manager (the artist formerly known as HUBwatch),
Recovery Manager (nee Resilience), and other apps is being added.
It will not be in the next release, but is planned for the next major
release after that.

Well, "HUBwatch" has *never* been "HubWatch"! ;-{)}
The enVISN Marketing Forum recently renamed several products. I'm not
the person to announce them, but, what the hell... (These names are
effective with the next release of each of the following products.)
HUBwatch -------------> clearVISN MultiChassis Manager V5.0
limited HUBwatch -----> clearVISN Stack Manager V1.0
PROBEwatch -----------> clearVISN RMON Manager V3.3
Resilience -----------> clearVISN Recovery Manager V1.1
HUBloader ------------> clearVISN Flash Loader
Future clearVISN applications use names like these.
