Problem using Hubloader to upgrade firmware on DECrepeater 900fp. If the customer has the DR900fp connected to 5 virtual LANs or more, upon doing a firmware upgrade, he loses all connectivity to the virtual LANs and has to reconfigure them. The firmware upgrade itself is successful. On the other hand, it works fine for me; ie.connectivity to all 5 virtual LANs still exists. Dif'rnces: Customer -> Hubwatch 4.1.2 Hub900 4.1.0 DR900fp 2.0.0 Me -> Hubwatch x4.0.18 Hub900 4.0.2 DR900fp 1.2.0 I'm trying the notesfile 1st to see if anybody experienced this problem. If not, I'll just have to upgrade my own lab. Thanks. Andy

Just a guess, could it have something to do with the ThinWire problem discussed in notes 3306, and 2989 ? -Mike | |||||

John (I'd thought that I'd sent mail asking you about this too...) My demo unit has been "upgraded" and I've got the thinwire connect blues. I've not seen nor heard of a the fix (intimated in 2989) being out. IS THERE A FIX? WHERE IS IT? Thanks, j |
