3284.0. "900 EF Crash:2380/2008/23C0" by ZUR01::ACKERMANN () Thu Feb 15 1996 08:39
DECSWITCH 900EF Crash Codes:2380/2008/23C0
------------------------------------------
I have a Customer with Following Config:
HUB MAM Version 4.1.0
1x DECswitch 900EF Version 1.5.2
1x Portswitch 900TP Version 2.1.0
On the Backplane he has 3 LANS. These are connected to 3 individual
Ports of the DECswitch 900EF and the Portswitch 900TP.
Now he gets intermittend Resets of the DECSWITCH 900EF with the
above Crash Codes:2380/2008/23C0

3284.1 | Need details on external devices connected to HUB modules... | NETCAD::BATTERSBY | | Thu Feb 15 1996 09:57 | 7 |
| As usual, we need much much more information on the configuration
of your LAN. IE: what devices (types of end nodes), & in general
what kinds of protocols are connected to the LANs coming into the
HUB?
There is insufficient information to say what is wrong.

Hello Bob,
Thanks for Your fast Response. I can give You some more Details
about the Configuration, where the Crashes happen. (2380/2008/23C0)
There are only 3 Modules used in that Hub.
DECSERVER 900TM Slot 5 NAS 1.5 BL95C
DECSWITCH 900EF: Slot 8
----------------
Port1 ----------- FDDI External to other HUBs
Port2 ----------- External to DELNI standalone with some DECSERver 200
Port3 ----------- Thinwire Connected to BP
Port4 ----------- LAN Segment 1 BP
Port5 ----------- LAN Segment 2 BP
Port6 ----------- LAN Segment 3 BP
Port7 ----------- External to H4005---DELNI--- 3x DECSERVER 200
\_____ DESPR 3x PC on Tinwire
1 Workstation Clus. Sat.
Portswitch 900TP: Slot 7
------------------------
LAN 1 ----------- Group1 (10 Ports) 8 PCs Connected
LAN 2 ----------- Group2 (10 Ports) external no Connections
LAN 3 ----------- Group3 (12 Ports) external no Connections
Thinwire is NOT Connected
- The most Protocol they use is LAT on DECSERVER 200
- On the PCs they use TCP/IP
- 1 Workstation Cluster Protocol
Thanks for any Help again,
Daniel MCS Switzerland
