3255.0. "switching vs routing white papers?" by RDMCS3::STUART (Scott Stuart - NPB SE - 410.315.9954) Thu Feb 08 1996 16:33
cross posted in Common_brouters conference:
At the VA hospital - US wide - we are in a battle with cisco or cisco
supporters in the accounts who are trying to push small, fixed subnets,
and IGRP as a routing protocol.
We are pushing flat networks at each site with switching, OSPF, and
variable sized subnet masks (necessary because of variable sized
locations).
Can anyone send me pointers to white papers and/or presentations
that address:
1. switching vs. routing
2. link state vs. vector routing algorithms
3. OSPF
thanks for any help.

| There's a collection of white papers at the following URL which
is on the Network Products Business internal web page.
http://npbww2.hpn.lkg.dec.com/npb/html/white-papers.html
Maybe there's something there that you can use.
