    Hi,
    
    I have down loaded a routing s/w for DECswitch 900EF. But there is
    only a DECswitch 900EE in my office. Do they use the same routing

Due to different hardware, (6 x Eth) vs (6 Eth + 1 x fddi)
the routing software is different.

6 different software for 2 different modules 
			
	DECswitch 900EE Switch	(6 Ethernet)	
        DECswitch 900EE IP Router            
        DECswitch 900EE MP Router               

	DECswitch 900EF	Switch (6 Enet, 1 FDDI)	
        DECswitch 900EF IP Router            
        DECswitch 900EF MP Router

The EE switch accepted the software for the EF???
Boo!  Go complain in IROCZ::COMMON_BROUTERS, too. 
Software images should have identification in their
image headers, and devices should check them!
