Some Help ??? We've (system test) have found this recently. Here's a quick thing to try. On the ports that were moved to another group, you now want to put them back on the top group. Ie: group with MAC ? Try putting a repeater terminator on the port your trying to move back and that should let you move the checkmark back up to the top group. BTW: Are your checkmarks vanishing when you try to get back to group 1?? Tim | |||||

As a follow-up on .0: In-house we did put a terminator on the port as you suggested and that works!! However: on the customer site there was a terminated piece of cable including two stations connected to that same port; which makes the whole thing a bit suspicious. btw. Yes the checkmarks are gone and only be regained by resetting the whole repeatermodule. From what we see is that the 'unterminated' port comes into a 'management disabled' state and possibly due the autopartition mechanisme never is able to return to the 'normal' state. So if live-ports can not be switched then the switch gets more or less unusable for some customer situations. Will this be solved? And if so when can we/customer expect the release? Ton. |
