FDA = Food and Drug Administration, a federal agency of the US gov't
that approves pharmaceuticals and food labels.
While is has occasionally been suggested (in jest, of course) that the Hubwatch
team is on drugs, we have never asked them to certify this.

3193.3 | What actually is GMP9000? | KEIKI::WHITE | MIN(2,FWIW) | Mon Jan 22 1996 16:03 | 6 |

Actually a search in AltaVista shows that GMP9000/FDA is
(part of/related to) ISO9000 as the QS9000/Automotive is related
to ISO9000.

| Maybe we can certify that the code was written in a sterile, 9000 class
environment?? 8^) NOT.
Or maybe the FDA would consider HUBWATCH as either a stimulant or a
depressant depending on what you are trying to do/solve?

But it was!
Oh, you said "sterile". I thought you said "senile".

| Koch_P,
I guess I was just trying not to say, "For more info, contact...". Way
too many people have been giving me a hard time about that line lately.
;-{)}
Perhaps Jack will post his reply (If only because it's such a neat
question).
Tom,

| Re .7
Ted, I'm only trying to keep it a secret from you...
Unfortunately, I didn't copy myself on my reply to Bernard. But the
essence of what I said was that there are Pharmaceutical companies in
the US using DEChub 900's (no, not as wonder drug ingredients) and
HUBwatch to manage them.
While I am not aware of any certification process, one of these
customers told me that he has to go through a lot of paperwork in order
to upgrade the firmware on his hubs.
Bernard, send me mail offline (NAC::FORREST) if you still need to get
more data on this topic. Although it's fun, I'm trying to stay out of
Notes to get other work done.
