3166.0. "900MX HUbwatch System error" by OPCO::NET_JPM () Wed Jan 17 1996 00:19
I have a problem where most of the DECswitch 900EF's and 900MX's across the
network you can no longer double click on from Hubwatch to get the Module
information. You can still click on the port to get the port information.
I have tried Hubwatch version 4.1.1 on OSF and version 3.1.3 from a VAX/VMS
node with the same result. The DECswitches are only at revision 1.4 and I will
get them upgraded in time but this will take quite awhile and I am interest to
know if this will in fact fix the problem.
When you click on the 900EF Hubwatch message box says
"DB900:SNMP Error. No data received,sum_u_group"
and from the window that started Hubwatch:
parsed_signedinteger, length error: 5
parse_varbind, vb_ptr->value.sl_value
parse_pdu, vb_ptr
X Toolkit Warning: XtRemoveGrab asked to remove a widget not on the list
900MX's that do work and are at 1.4 give the message in the message box of
"DB900:no data available in SUM_D group"
I powered one of the 900MX's off and on and it then worked fine.
Is there any know problems in this area ?
Thanks ,
John Murphy

3166.1 | Yes upgrade the FW code.... | NETCAD::BATTERSBY | | Wed Jan 17 1996 09:58 | 5 |
| Yes it will very likely fix the problem. You should upgrade them
all to FW rev 1.5.2 as soon as possible to maximize your ability
to manage them.
