Hello, When we going to configure the DEChub900 with Concentrators, there is a term MOD-PMD, or MODOMD for the wiring, can any one tell me what it is, and where to find more information on this. Raphael

"ModPMD" stands for "modular physical medium dependent". "Physical Medium Dependent" is the lower sub-layer of the OSI physical layer. According to the DECconcentrator Reference Manual: ModPMDs are interface modules that allow flexibility so concentrators can adapt to various network cabling schemes. ModPMDs are easily installed by the user. ModPMDs are available in three basic types: - single-mode fiber (SMF), - multimode fiber (MMF), and - Unshielded twisted pair (UTP). Information about ModPMDs should be in the catalog. You can also find more information in the DECconcentrator documentation. Try: TNPUBS::PUBLIC$651:[PUBLIC.ONEHUB]*con*.ps -Shawn | |||||
