3159.0. "DR900TM load problems" by GIDDAY::MORAN () Mon Jan 15 1996 02:54
A customer rang me saying he could not re-flash his 900tm repearter to
V2.00. He copied the file from ftp.digital.com so susspecting a corrupt
image I gave him a copy on floppy.
Of course he still had problems so I tried out what he did on our
office DR900TM and got the exact same results.
Procedure:
1) Start Hubloader
2) Type in IP address of Repeater. Hubload does a 'show' and says
current FW 1.1.0 and Latest 2.0.0
3) Start TFTP server in the backgroud. Help/about in tftp server shows
Netrider loader 1.0-03.
4) Hit load on hubloader.
This is where the problems starts. The repeater starts a load and the
counter on the TFTP server goes up to 900 or so and then the repeater
retries. The counter on the TFTP server is reset and counts to 1. This
processs happends about 4/5 times and it seems like the repeaters gives
up.
The Status message on hubloader are: (This is using one of our
repeaters in office which is already V2.0.0 - The sympton is the same
for the customers repeater which is V1.1.0)
