Customer is trying to create a LAN segment in the "LAN Interconnect" diagram under "view" pull down menu. he is unable to create more than 3 LAN segments. He gets the error message "Hubwatch: Error Add Failed". One segment is thinwire, the second is ethernet & the third FDDI. This happens both on Hubwatch for OSF V4.1.1 & Hubwatch for Windows V4.0.1. He has another Dechub900 with V3.1.1 hubmanager which works OK. I have indicated the failing & successful configuration. Module Fails Succeeds ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Hubmanager V4.1.0 V3.1.1 Hubwatch V4.0.1 V4.0.1 DR900TP V2.1.0 V2.1.0 DS900EF V1.5.2 V1.5.2 DR900TH V3.1.1 V3.1.1 Cust does not have Hubwatch V4.1 to try out nor the older version of hubmanager. Any one has seen this problem? Thanks in advance. Daniel.

You must use Hubwatch v4.1 when configuring a Hub that has V4.1. You must use Hubwatch v3.1 when the Hub manager has v3.1. With Hubwatch v4.0 you can only manage a hub with v4.0. It could be that you have caused the problem by using Hubwatch v4.0 with the hub manager (MAM) v3.1. Try the usual things: (not all at once...) - Use the REFRESH button on the Lan Interconnect screen. - Restart Hubwatch - Restart the MAM to current settings - Reset the MAM to factory, lose the entire configuration. -Mike |
