I have got Hubwatch installed and was able to run it from command line
using the -x option to specify the IP address of the node. The -a
option did not work because Hubwatch used nslookup to query DNS for the
IP address with the specified name. The node name was not known to
DNS. I even put in the name and IP
address of the node in /etc/hosts, the IP address was still not able to
be resolved.
I could not invoke Hubwatch from Netview. How is the agent file used ?
Why is it that IP address, node name and MAC adddress have to be
specified ? The agent name or agent type was rather confusing.
Could someone shield some light on this ?
Rgds.

Depending on what version of HUBwatch you have there is a detailed
explanation of running with Polycenter Netview. It can be found in
either the release notes (earlier versions) or in the documentation.
Also see note 3029 for one problem that the installation does not
do for you.

I have got the problem fixed. The selection name in Netview did not
tally with the agent name in Hubwatch's agent file, and Hubwatch tried
to locate the name using nslookup.
