Hi, How can I allocate the port of DECswitch 900MP to face plate or backplane? I have upgraded an DECswitch 900EF to DECswitch 900MP. But when I want to assign a port to the backplane, the screen went to TELNET. Can I use HUBwatch to assign it? If It can, which version has such funtion and where is the kits placed, if it can't, can the ports of the router be assigned by command line. I'll be crazy. Regards, Humphrey

HUBwatch did what it's supposed to - launched you to the CLI that the current DECswitch900/MP requires for configuration. You'll need the experts at IROCZ::COMMON_BROUTERS to point you at a configuration guide and more info. Dotsie | |||||

Use the LAN Interconnect window, single-click the switch's icon, and select the Configure button to set ports front or back. Version 4.1 of HUBwatch does not support any other router functions, except for port front-and-back configuration and the Telnet window. Router configuration is included in V5.0, and router management is a new clearVISN application also scheduled for next year. Tom Hood clearVISN Apps |
