3051.0. "TFTP timeout, way to change? Hubloader?" by PTOJJD::DANZAK (Pittsburgher ) Sun Dec 10 1995 08:51

I've tried to upgrade some hub modules and had TFTP timeouts! Aarugh.
THe only way to fix this was to DISCONNECT the hub from the network and
upgrade. (Using HUBloader on the PC etc.)

Where can I change the TFTP timeout? It doesn't seem to appear in the
.INI file in the NETRIDER loader etc.

    Thanks,
    j

3051.1Dealing with TFTP timeouts....NETCAD::BATTERSBYMon Dec 11 1995 09:058
Jon, if you're doing MAM assisted loads, there is likely to be
a higher possibility of timeouts. You may want to do loads on those
particular units in-band. However if you are doing in-band loads
and getting timeouts, then using HUBloader on the PC etc. is a
reasonable alternative. I don't think the TFTP timeout can be
    adjusted.

    time...)

I believe there is a setup window in the NETRider TFTP Server we
shipped with HUBloader that allows you to set the number of retries
and the timeout period between each. By default I believe you get
2 retries with a 4 second timeout period for each.

                   server startup)
