*** Cross posted to HUB_MGNT & GIGASWITCH conferences *** This is a follow up to entries #2010.4 and #3034 in conference HUB_MGNT. We encountered real difficulty because HUBwatch for WIndows V4.1.1 cannot set all supported GIGAswitch/FDDI variables, some have already been mentioned in #2010.4, for ease of reference I have included them below: - rate limiting - ability to dump fwd db to a file - M-port support #3034 described problem of setting M-port which surfaced until equipment was delivered to customer and was installing it. Without knowing these limitation before selling 4 GIGAswitch/FDDI to the account, customer expected that HUBwatch for Windows V4.x can set all supported features. Now, we will be asked to explain if any other GIGAswitch/FDDI features are not settable from HUBwatch, hence this follow up notes entry. Please post a list of features that are un-supported by current HUBwatch, and any plans of support in future versions. Faraday

3037.3 | fwd db dump IS supported | NETCAD::IACOBONE | Fri Dec 08 1995 11:05 | 9 | |
Dumping the GIGAswitch/FDDI forwarding database to a file IS supported in HUBwatch v4.1.1 for Windows. Just hit the FILE button in the forwarding database view. Keep in mind that this takes a while for a large databases. Dave Iacobone HUBwatch development |
