3030.0. "switch900CP firmware upgrade not working" by HLFS00::BROUWERS_A () Tue Dec 05 1995 04:03
DECswitch 900CP upgrade problems. Now running V2.0.2. Trying to load
new Firmware DECPM210.BIN, the load to the module looks fine, but
nothing happens and the module keeps running on the old software.
Loading the old Firmware DECPM201.BIN works, the file is loaded and
the module is initiated.
Loading was tried in: Direct mode, via Hubmanager and from the 900CP
installation menu: Downline upgrade, all with no result.
Is there something wrong ? tell Ad.

If your image size is 865 blocks, then the following applies:
The PORTswitch 900CP image (DECPM210.BIN) of the Consolidated Firmware Kit
V4.1.1 was corrupted.
Get a new one from
NETCAD::PROJ$722:[ONEHUB.RELEASE.FIRMWARE.V4_1_1.DOS]
DECPM210.BIN;1 1101 8-NOV-1995 14:25:41.00
The image on the Web and ftp server should also have been updated.
Another option would be to use DCF V4.1.2

wrong DECPM210.BIN has a size of 442.435 and nr FTP blocks: 857
right DECPM210.BIN has a size of 563.712 and nr FTP blocks: 1102
