3012.1 | Shadow caused GPF ??? | BBOV01::SPRIGGS | | Mon Nov 27 1995 23:01 | 23 |
| Hi All,
I have tried this and I get the error
"an error has occurred in your application"
followed by
"Shadow caused a GPF in module TMP245D.EXE at 0002:058f"
This happens during the first disk.
Any clues...
In the product status file NAC::NIPG:[MANAGE]STATUS.TXT it says that
the V4.0 product can be installed on Windows NT, in "standard mode",
but I don't know what that means...
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave...

3012.2 | Installit installation DOES NOT RUN UNDER NT | NETCAD::WAGNERCOFFIL | | Tue Nov 28 1995 08:52 | 13 |
| The Installit installation program that is shipped with HUBwatch for Windows
V4.x DOES NOT RUN UNDER NT. You must install under Windows and then reboot
under NT and HUBwatch should run. HUBwatch V4.x under NT IS NOT A supported
platform.

Interesting. As far as I know there is nosuch thing as standard mode under
Windows NT 3.5x nor Windows for Workgroups 3.11, standard mode only exists
for Windows 3.1.

3012.3 | Future standard platform | SLINK::HOOD | My God, what have I done to my spleen? | Tue Nov 28 1995 10:12 | 5 |
| Be aware that with the next wave of clearVISN producs (HUBwatch, Resilience,
etc), early in 1996, Windows NT becomes our primary platform. Other OS's like
Windows 3, Windows 95, Unixes, etc, will continue to be supported.

We can't answer questions about release dates here (first half of 1996) so
please contact the product manager, Jack NAC::Forrest.

3012.6 | I installed it on NT | GIDDAY::CHONG | Andrew Chong - Sydney CSC | Wed Nov 29 1995 06:08 | 7 |
|
It may not be supported but it does work for me.
I installed hubwatch V4.x on my NT server onto a DOS partition and it
works fine. I only installed the Hubwatch components without the ip
stack as IP is already configured on the server.

3012.7 | it worked, too | ZUR01::SCHNEIDERR | | Thu Nov 30 1995 17:21 | 6 |

The same for me, I showed HUBwatch on a NT machine at an excebition and I had
no problems with it. I installed HUBwatch without IP-stack and I changed the
parameter from AUTOEXEC.BAT in the WNT like form.

3012.9 | 4.1 is for Windows 3.1 and WfW. | SLINK::HOOD | My God, what have I done to my spleen? | Fri Dec 08 1995 11:56 | 6 |
| Whatever it does, it does at your own risk.
HUBwatch 4.1 is supported (tested and deemed working) for Windows 3.1 and
Windows for Workgroups.
