Hello all, On the PORTswitch 900TP there is 32 ports that can be assign to any of the 6 lans. When you look at the configuration screen, under Hubwatch (4.0.18) for windows, you can see the 32 ports and the 6 lans so you can match each port to a specific LAN. But there is another port call "A" at the end. What is this port use for? Thank you Luc

First 4.0.18 is not the lateset HUBwatch. That said however even with v4.1 you will still see the A. You can't see the invisible M and C that are there to spell MAC :-) The MAC can be moved to any of the 6 groups and is really only important if you are using the module as the IP services module. Then it must be associated with the group that has the in-band path to the management station.

It's probably the mAc. The MAC is used to communicate with the management agent inside the repeater. If the repeater is used for IP services for the hub, then it's indirectly used to communicate with the Hub as well. -Mike
