3006.0. "50/125 optical fiber for FDDI link with DECswitch 900EF" by MARS03::THOMAS () Fri Nov 24 1995 12:19

	My customer uses 50/125 optical fibers 50/125 for an Ethernet
LAN (since about 1987). These opitcal fibers are used by:
	- optical transceivers,
	- optical repeaters (DEREP, DEREN),

	This customer wants to design an high speed FDDI backbone that will use
these 50/125 optical fibers.

	Can i use such optical fibers:

	- over 300 or 400 meters link,
	- over 600 or 800 meters link (with Optical Bypass Relay)

	on an FDDI link between 2 DECswitch 900 EF ?

	Thank you for your answers.

	Regards,

	Bernard
