2999.0. "900FP "high" Collision rate" by ACISS2::BERNDT () Wed Nov 22 1995 18:31
I have a customer who is created an ethernet lan in his 900 backplane,
to which he attaches multiple Portswitch 900FP ports (say 3). Each of
the 3 900FP fiber pairs goes out to a 90FA or 90FL in a DEChub 90,
remote closet.
He is seeing a "high" collision rate (and runts) on the
900 Ethernet backplane LAN, even though each remote DEChub 90 has only
a few users?
Is this normal, is there a better way to do this? As you know, he
limited to 6 ethernets on the 900 backplane with existing switches.
