Hi you gurus of Probewatch,
Have done some network analyzing at OTIS, Berlin, Germany. My idea was,
to install ten (10) packetprobes somewhere in the network and read the
segment and host statistics in as I do it in my office. So thought so
done. I leave the probes installed for a week and then I start with
the reports.
The first probe I used for reporting was "beopp". I clicked on the
first report (xxxxxxxx.xxe) for the start time and the last report
for the ending date. The PC is playing something on the HDD and is then
ready. I clicked on MSDOS, gone to the c:\probew\reports directory,
and what's there? Nothing!!!
Brood, brood and study.
I leave MSDOS and start segment statistics, starting at a day at 06:00
o'clock (a.m.) and ending at the same day at 18:30 o'clock (06:30 p.m.)
Date 15.10.95 and 16.10.95 didn't give any report on segment statistic,
host statistic is also strange.
But look at the appended reports!!! Pleas have a look at the percentage
of the packet size and packet type!!!
I need some help about this as soon as possible, 'cause I have three
measuring strings, all with 10 probes, and this was the first analyzed
probe.

Hey out there in the field, sometimes supporting this product,
is there noone, who can explain from where these errors in the
statistical mathematic come from?
I have these problem seen on other reports I have done for the customer
and I think, I/we can't sell this product to the customer, 'cause I'm
unable to tell only good stories about the product without having some
airplains in my belly.
So please be so kind and give me some information about the problem
I've seen.
