2961.0. "firmware notification?" by CSC32::D_PERRIN () Tue Nov 07 1995 11:59

    Is the notification service for firmware updates working?

    An unhappy customer (after being told to upgrade) reports:

    " I could have sworn that I subscribed to a notification
      service for new firmware updates? ([email protected]) How long
      has V1.5 been available?"

    I have also subscribed to this and have never received anything.

2961.1Hmmm what *does* happen to those little reply cards?NETCAD::BATTERSBYTue Nov 07 1995 12:2914
    I'm curious too as to what happens to all the thousands of cards
    addressed to the Westford, MA. PO Box 687, or what happens to the
    electronic mail sent to [email protected].
    This isn't the first time I've heard from someone from the field asking
    about this process. There are tear-off cards in the zip-loc bags
    the installation kits come in (which are in *every* box shipped
    with a HUB product). There are also reply cards in every issue of
    Netcom News addressed to the same PO Box number. I sometimes wonder
    how many customers are out there waiting/expecting to hear back from
    us (or someone), with news on upgrades, or waiting for their issue
    of Netcom News to arrive. Gee folks, are we losing add-on & upgrade
    business because customers aren't hearing from us after the initial sale?

    Hello,

      I have a lot of egg on my face after telling several customers about
    the wonderful notification service available. Guess what... they never
    got notified (nor did I).

      Can someone please give us an update on this?

    Thanks,

    Bob
2961.3Put HUBwatch on ContractALBANY::BARTLEYWed Nov 08 1995 15:594
    My customers have been receiving updates due to having HUBwatch on
    a software contract.

2961.4STRWRS::KOCH_PIt never hurts to ask...Wed Nov 08 1995 18:484

    Yes, that's great. If we processed these cards, we could sell a heck of
    a lot of HUBwatch software contracts. However, they seem to be going
    into some sort of bit bucket...
2961.5Notification went out today!!!! FOUNDR::SKABOExpect Nothing U never disappointedMon Nov 13 1995 11:58181
