2945.0. "Switch900 filter problems" by COMICS::REYNOLDS (Mad Dogs and Englishmen) Thu Nov 02 1995 13:01
I'd like to raise a couple of problems I've seen setting up address
filtering on the DECswitch900EF:
1. If I create a filter with blocking on all ports, click OK then
refresh, its fine. Then, I delete it and re-create it, this time
with only say ports 2 and 3 blocked, then OK and refresh. If I then
modify that filter to block all ports, thats fine until I refresh
-the filter then reverts to blocking on ports 2 and 3 again.
2. There's just no way to block the broadcast address on all 7 ports -
they revert back to green again. But you can do it on up to 6 of the 7.
I'm running Bridge code 1.5.2, MAM code 4.1 and Hubwatch for OSF
v4.1.1
nothing intentional here is there?
thanks,
John Reynolds, UK CSC, Comms.
