2866.0. "DETPM vs H3350" by RDGENG::GREID (All that is, was and will be...) Mon Oct 16 1995 12:03

Could someone please tell me if there are any fundamental differences
between the DETPM and the H3350 with regards to connecting systems with
10Base5 connectors to a 10BaseT wired area. The DETPMs are cheaper and
for the volume I need to order will make quite a saving on a mass order
    for H3350.

    	Thanks for any thoughts.

    	Giles.

I didn't think you could get h3350's anymore. The DETPM replaced it. It is used
to put a station with a 10base5 AUI connection to UTP.
2866.2H3350 is still very orderable..RDGENG::GREIDAll that is, was and will be...Mon Oct 16 1995 13:095
Well that's what I thought, however the internal ordering system is
still quite happy to let you mass order them, if the DETPM is a
straight replacement for it, then I'll go for them ?

Well, they are no longer in the U.S. price book.

Well it seems that although they are present what you actually get is
the DETPM and the H3350 is not available, so I guess that answers my
    question. 8-)
