I have a customer running HUBwatch V3.1 on WFG3.11, unfortunately,
I don't have the hub firmware version.
On a HUB900 he as:
slot module
6 server900TM
7 repeater900TM
8 switch900EF
On HUBwatch's environmental display the fan indicators show
6 1 left green fans and the right 2 are grey
7 2 left green fans and the right 1 is grey
8 all 3 fans are green
All three modules show normal temp. Don't all of these moduls
have 3 fans? Shouldn't they all be painted green?
Thanks,
Richard

Richard,
If something is not support or in this case not there then hubwatch
greys out the display. terminal servers have one fan, higher end
modules like switches haw three.

server900TM has 1 fan (in the middle of 3 fan positions) repeater900TM has 2 fans (in the middle & rearward positions) switch900EF has 3 fans John

RTFMC= Read The Fine Manuals CAREFULLY!
Thanks, everyone! Based on your input, I realized that I had
miss-understood some things I read - bad memory, maybe. I thought
I'd read some where that all three of these modules had 3 fans
each.
Regards,
Richard

The theory is that all modules will have at least two fans, to provide for redundancy should 1 fan fail. If power dissipation is high, the third fan can be added. Somehow the low power/low cost terminal servers slipped out without the redundant fan. John
