After trawling through this conference I have concluded that to have alarming capability on Hubwatch for windows then HP Openview is required. If this is correct then I would like to know when/if it is scheduled for Hubwatch for windows to have alarming capability of its own (without the need to purchase other software).

you can already use Manageworks SNMP from Digital Equipment Corporation to do traps reception and decoding , polling of equipment , auto-topology, with windows for each alarm severity ,and windows for traps and plus for only 1k$ ( the price for the Cd-ROM ) and , of course , perfect integration with Hubwatch !! ask for the Demo cd-rom , you'll be surprised do a search in this note for finding its Notefiles ( we'just moved offices and lost all our VAX servers &-( regards PJ PS : and , no , i have no stock options in this product ; just really surprised for what it gives for a so low price ) | |||||

Brian, you should ask in the ManageWORKS Notefile (NOTED::MWDEV). As far as I know, the latest V2.2 kit should be announced real soon and it contains good improvements for discovery and MIBs browsing of NPB products. |
