Hi,


I am trying to upgrade the Decpacketprobe 90 V1.0 to V2.5 and
i enter with the all information needed for the upgrade ( IP address,
Netmask,TFTP server address, R/W community ) and  then i select [10]
to upgrade software and the message below is received. The only thing
that I don't know what mean in the message is how to setup the subnet
values before using TFTP.


Agent is not configured correctly.
set the IP address,netmask and the subnet values before using TFTP.

 reboot/restart your probe between the setting of IP/SUB/TFTP and the download
 operation.

 i think, the Probe must be rebooted to accept the ip information

I don't know the PacketProbe specifically, but maybe I can help.
You probably entered the IP address and subnet mask of the TFTP
server.  The "agent not configured correctly, set IP address,
subnet mask" message is referring to the PacketProbe itself.

Either the probe does not have an IP address, or the IP addresses
of the server and the PacketProbe are not in the same subnet.

    I have already set the following:
    
    Probe IP  -          1.1.1.24
    Probe netmask -      255.0.0.0
    TFTP server (my PC)- 1.1.1.22
    
    And i had reset agent using menu iten [12].
     
    Any other hint ?

    After adding Gateway Address, everything worked fine. 
    Probe is now running software V2.6
