Are there any white papers on the net, or trade rag articles that discuss Virtual LANs from a generic philsophical and technical perspective? I'm trying to get a better handle on the various methods of configuring VLANs. Customers are asking these questions, and I find that I don't have good answers beyuond the DEC product set. Thanks. Merlin

There was an article earlier this year (Mar/Apr?) in Data Communications by Steven King and Stephen Saunders that discussed virtual LANs in reasonable depth. Jeannie | |||||

You can see our own White Paper on virtual LANs by using your favorite web browser. Go to the new Network Product Business web page at.... http://www.networks.digital.com then go and click on the large letters spelling enVISN to the left of the globe (this is URL http://ww.networks.digital.com/nbp/html/envisn/env1.html for those who want to go directly), then you can click on the forth bullet "White Paper". This is a soft copy of the hard copy glossy EA-B4952-42 that one can presumably order. Don't pass up browsing at the other stuff as you pass through the web page though. They did a good job of putting this web page together. Bob |
