2767.0. "DR90FS/DH90 Redundancy Problem" by GRANPA::DFAUST (Bad Things, man...) Fri Sep 15 1995 19:17
I am trying to set up a redundant FO link between a DR900FP (in a
DEChub 900) and some DR90FS (in DEChub 90 and DEChub 900). The
connections between DH900's installed fine, but I'm having problem with
the DR90FS in the DH90s. The second port on the DR90FS shuts off (it no
longer emits any transmit light). I have both ports on the DR90FS set
up as responder ports, with the DR900FP being set as the master. The
DR90FS is at the following rev levels: HW=v0, RO=v01.02, SW=v1.1. I
have the DR90FS in slot eight of the DH90s, which are at Rev B01. This
same situation exists in three different DH90s, so I'm pretty sure it
isn't a hardware problem with the DR90FS. Port one of all of the DR90FS
work fine (the customers backbone is using them today).
Can anyone shed any light on this situation?
