2760.0. "PORTswitch 900CP sometimes fail to partition" by HGOVC::SIUKEUNGLEE () Fri Sep 15 1995 05:13
Hello,
Our customer found the following problems:
1. PORTswitch 900CP sometimes fail to partition opened ports.
>
As indicated by LEDs on the module's front panel and HubWatch 4.01,
sometimes some opened ports (not terminated by loads) are not partitioned and
having a state of "online". Since the repeater fails to partition opened
ports occassionally, it is worry that it will fail to filter out garbage
from bad ports. Note that most of the errors in our network are caused by
bad repeater ports and segments.
Anyone have same porblem or suggestion are welcome.
Thank!
David Lee.
