I just finished installing HubWatch V4.0.1 and upgrading all of the 900 modules in our hub. Now when I click on one of the modules shown on our 900 backplane in hubwatch I receive the following error: No agent specified for the slot MAC address- please check log messages in the HubWatch Message Box Window. Could someone tell me what this error means? Thanks. Brent

I guess it means you need to enter an IP address somewhere. If this is happening when you click on a DECrepeater, DECconcentrator, or DECswitch, then I don't know what the problem is. But if the module is a DECserver or DECbrouter, then those modules need their own IP address assigned. This hasn't changed from earlier versions.

It sounds like a recently discovered problem with the MAM, which is triggered when you have only the one IPS address set and the IPS module goes asleep (such as when you upgraded it). You can reset the MAM after the upgrades to clear the problem. This is fixed in the next release of the MAM. -Mike

Thanks for the help. A reset did the trick. Brent |
