2603.0. "ping to 900EF at 1500byte" by TKOV51::TAGUCHI (paddling on the ancient river) Thu Aug 03 1995 09:40
have a problem about DECswitch900EF.
It is a DECswitch900EF which is used in an inband IP slot of a 900MS.
When I ping to the DECswitch900EF (the packet size is 1500), after
about a minute, the 900MS shows "DECswitch900 unknown" forever.
But it's switching feature is normal, and I can ping to another
station through the DECswitch900EF.
When I ping to DECswitch 900EF the packet size is default,
it is no problem.
I tried two units, and I got same result.
regards,

| Hi -
The backplane management channel between a linecard and
the MAM that is used for IPS and CSNMP has a maximum
packet size of 1006. Packet fragmentation and reassembly
are not supported.
