2601.0. "No agent specified for module" by COPCLU::PALMANN (Jan Palmann C/S Comms. Copenhagen) Thu Aug 03 1995 07:43

About ones a day, Hubwatch for windows 4.0.1 say'es
"No agent specified for module "
	The errorlog say'es
" snmp request has no agent defined, invalid request"

This happends when you "click on a module" in Hubwatch, to look
at it. ( but only once in a while )

The work arround: you have to reload, or to power down
the module, and then restart the PC running hubwatch.

Also the DEChub 900 sometimes looses the setup. ( like to witch net
	the modules is connected )

	The config:
	Hubwatch for windows 4.0.1
It runs on a pentium 100 mhz PC

	DEChub 900 hwd 1.1.6
	5 x PEswitch 900 tx
	1 x DECcon. 900 mx
	1 x DECswitch 900 ef

				Any idears.? Jan.

This may be a problem we've already fixed for the next minor release of the
DEChub 900 (MAM) f/w (4.X.0 (where X > 0)). This bug is in 4.0.2 of the MAM
f/w.

The problem occurs when a module, acting as IP Server, goes to sleep, and
there are no other IPS/OBM addresses defined in the MAM. A module can go
to sleep on an upgrade, a reset, or a crash. This causes the MAM to lose
management connectivity.

If you upgraded or reset your IPS module recently, and no other IP addresses
are defined in MAM. You only need to do a "Reset to Current Settings" on the
MAM.

Otherwise, you may want to check the error log of your IPS module. Also,
reset the MAM as described above. Your module may have problems.

Hope this helps,
Chip

We don't give dates here. Please ask the product manager.
Also, he didn't say there would be a version v4.1.0, it is too early
    to predict the version number.

Note that the V4_1 here refers to the version of the consolidated kit,
which may be a different version number than any firmware contained within.
