I'm having a peculiar problem with V4.0 of the hub firmware. I'm a System Engineer who carries a hub around for customer demos. I've noticed since I've upgraded to V4.0 of the firmware that the settings on my DEChub go away when the hub is powered down for a while. This did NOT happen with V3.1. Can someone explain why this happenning? I've lost my IP addresses and most recently my defined LANs were gone when I powered it back up after about a week.

It would be easier to tell if you showed us your errorlog entries for the hub. Since you said it didn't happen with v3.1 I assume you do all the right things such as power the hub down after waiting 15 seconds after the last change to the hub, power down before removing modules, make sure the exact same modules go in the exact same slots when you set up before the next powerup, etc. (that's for lan connections not IP addresses, they should always be there). -Mike | |||||

Ok, I'll try that sequence and see what happens. When I was running V3.1, no matter what I did, the IP address stayed set and the LANs were there, although the connections went away because I didn't always put them in the same slots. |
