On testing a DECconcentrator 900MX with a DECHub-One MX we have found that we cannot talk to the device through the console port of the One Hub module. The concentrator powers up ok and sits in "waiting to have it's IP address/gateway configured" mode, but nothing comes up on the console. We have tried it on one of the old 90w One Hubs and all is ok. Similarily we have used the OneHub MX on a DS900TM and all is ok including talking to the server through the console. Now it appears that there is only one flavour of the OneHub MX so why can we talk to a DECserver 900 but not a concentrator ? Giles.

Hi Giles. The setup port (also called the console) should always work. Can you tell me what firmware version is running in the concentrator? Dennis | |||||

Dennis, This problem was fixed by upgrading the Concentrator from V2 to V2.8. Giles. |
