    I need a pointer to the release notes for both HUB firmware 4.0 and
    HUBWATCH 4.0. Are they extracted from the kits anywhere?

    No - you'll have to install the kits and then get the release notes.
    Note 2346 has kit pointers.

    Try the following:
    $ dir tnpubs::public$disk:[public.onehub]*rel*
    You'll see lots of Release Notes for the hardware.
    
    
    For HUBwatch for Windows, the READ_ME file was not compressed on the
    kit. You can find this file at NAC::NIPG:[MANAGE.HUBWATCH.DISK1]

    readme files are good, but I need to see what the release notes have to

    For the Windows kit, I would consider the READ_ME.TXT file to be the
    Release Notes. There is also a section of the online help called
    Release Notes, however, the READ_ME.TXT contains later information.
    
    There are no printed release notes in the kits that ship from SSB.
