2503.0. "ProbeWatche V3.2 Install Problem" by ANGLIN::CLAYTON (Merlin Clayton (314)947-6763) Tue Jul 11 1995 17:35

I'm trying to upgrade PROBEwatche to V3.2 for Windows.

I currently have a DECpc 425SL with 20 MB mem, running the PathWorks V5.1
protocol stack, and PROBEwatch V3.1.

When I try installing PW V3.2, I get an "insufficient memory" error. I've
rebooted and made sure no other windows appls were running, and retried
from windows, and DOS, and get the same problem.

Can anyone offer any insight as to what may be transpiring?

Thanks.

Merlin

Are you running WFW 3.11 or Windows 3.1?

How much conventional memory do you have with Windows running?

Do you get an installation window or the "insufficient Memory"
error immediately when you run the installer?

	One other idea...

In the past, we have had problems running installers(MS,HPI) across
the network from a file service and received the "insufficient
	memory" error.

Are you by chance running the installation from a network drive??
If so, try to run the installer locally from your hard disk or
	diskettes.

No installation window - almost immediately after running installer

RE: .2
I'm installing from floppy - no network drive.

Hope this helps.

Thanx.
