Hi Can any one say if probewatch has a sheduler, or has one planned. The type of thing I have in mind is a program that will shedule probewatch to pick up statistics from a large number of probes each in turn automatically. Also do we have the ability to collect generic RMON from any other device than the probe. Any answers

You can now with Probewatch interrogate more than one Probe to show statistics and Protocols currently used. (of course in the same time and display all results in one windozs) >> Also do we have the ability to collect generic RMON from any other device >> than the >> probe. should be , i have already tested with NAT probe and Chipcom Rmon probe in fact , you must know what's kinds of Groups are implemented in your equipment. jean-yves | |||||

Yes, the scheduled data logging is a standard feature of PROBEwatch V3.2. The Unix version also has a utility call CRONTAB that will generate reports from the logged data at predefined intervals, such as every morning at 8 o'clock. You should be able to install the "RMON" domain on other vendors probes. This is similar to the ALL domain. |
