Hi, we are currently experiencing our week of summer here in the UK. I have a customer who is seeing yellow/red temp alert on his hub900. Anybody know the temperature thresholds at which these alerts are triggered? Thanks, Paul.

Pre-WAVE 3 Modules Temp Yellow 30-35C Ambient Fan Speed bumped up from 8v to 12v. Modules should continue to run happily. Temp Red 60-70C Ambient Module initiates orderly shutdown. WAVE 3 (and after) Modules 30-35C Ambient Fan Speed bumped up from 8v to 12v. Modules should continue to run happily. No alarm is issued. Temp Yellow 45-50C Ambient Temp Red 60-70C Ambient Module initiates orderly shutdown. I would be surprised and worried if the Hub reported Temp Red. It would warrant an investigation to see that the installation was properly ventilated. John Thayer

John, thanks for the prompt reply. The hub is mounted in a comms rack with other equipment including a monitor. Opening the doors on the rack drops the alert from red to yellow. Given the temperature thresholds that you quoted, the whole installation sounds very unhealthy. Think I'll get somebody down there! Thanks again, Paul.

the temperature settings for the hub is different fromthe modules. the yellow temp was around 65C and the red around 72C. I could be more exact if I was able to locate my notebook... |
