I have a customer whose current configuration is as follows:
- 900MS
- DECserver 900TM (3)
- DECrepeater 90FA
They are planning on adding (8) ports of 10BASET via either a DETMR-MA
90T+ or DETMI-MA 90TS. I know the 90TS is scheduled to have a firmware
upgrade shortly that will allow it to manage other repeaters, but will
this functionality be valid if the 90TS is in a 900 Backplane.

No, the 90TS won't be able to manage other repeaters when it is in the
900 backplane, but you don't need it to... the hub manager (MAM) will
take care of this functionality.
What you do need is a module to provide IP services if you intend to
manage the hub in-band. The 90TS can do this while providing 8 TP
ports. Alternately, you could manage the hub out-of-band.
