HUBwatch V4.0.1 DEC OSF/1 V3.2 Hi I'm seeing numerous X Toolkit warning and fatal errors when using HUBwatch on the system on which it is installed (a DEC 3000 Model 600). Oddly enough, I'm not seeing the errors when I display to other nodes. Here's just a few of the lines I see. Any thoughts? Thanks tl # hubwatch -a idglabdechub900 & [1] 1034 # HUBwatch for Digital UNIX, Revision V4.0.1 Warning: Couldn't allocate color #0000698c8f5b (I) HUBWATCH_LIBRARY = /usr/kits/HUBwatch (I) HUBWATCH_LIBRARY = /usr/kits/HUBwatch (I) Using community "public" (I) Agent type Hub900 found for 16.127.96.14 X Toolkit Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "#0000698c8f5b" Warning: Couldn't allocate color #FA94DA46C193 X Toolkit Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "#696969696969" X Toolkit Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "#A9A9A9A9A9A9"

2347.1 | Multiple Motif Applications? | NETCAD::FORINO | Tue Jun 06 1995 17:00 | 5
The only time we have seen this problem is if you are running multiple Motif applications simultaneously. The last item in the release notes under the General HUBwatch Use Issues section talks about this. John
2347.2 | Try exiting other applications | STEVEV::VINGERHOET | Tue Jun 06 1995 17:07 | 7
HUBwatch for OSF doesn't handle colors very well when other applications such as NetScape (applications that potentially use many colors) are currently invoked. Try exiting non-critical applications and see if this helps. Steve
2347.3 | CRONIC::LEMONS | And we thank you for your support. | Tue Jun 06 1995 17:31 | 8
John Thanks for the suggestion; sorry for not remembering this. I exited from only the NetScape application, and HUBwatch is now running solidly. Thanks again! tl |
