Hi everyone, I need help. I really sorry if this is posted in wrong notes. I have one MUXServer 380 and 8 DECMux at remote sides. Between Central site and remote sites are interconnected via VSAT. The output from VSAT equipment both in central and remote sites is only one port. In remote sites, it is no problem because DECMux has only one port output (8 port input connect to 8 terminals). However in Central, MUXServer 380 has 8 ports output. Now which port must be attached to VSAT equipment in order to all DECMux in remote sites can communicate with MUXServer in Central site ? (only 1 port from VSAT Equip. to connect to MUXServer). Has someone any experience and willingly share here ? I'd be very grate ful for your help. Thank's in advanced. I do appreciate it Best Rgds, /Dnl

The MUXserver 90/320/380 all support daisy-chaining the various flavors of DECmux terminal concentrators. HOWEVER, you can ONLY daisy-chain 3 levels. Not 8. That means you can do this at maximum: MUXserver -to- VSAT line -to- DECmux -to- DECmux -to- DECmux BUT NO MORE THAN 3 DECMUX's hanging off any given leased-line. Mark |
