Hello.... Has anyone perchance ever seen this error when trying to run the hubwatch demo, THe specified device is not open or is not recognised by MCI this happens ona decpc 433dx with windows 3.1 if you click ok, the machine displays :- The driver cannot recognise the specified command then the machine hangs. :- Any ideas ???? cheers Steve.

I've seen this on my PC in my office. I think it has to do with a Multimedia (sound?) driver that is installed, but there's no hardware to support it. I went to delete what I thought was the offending driver, but I got a message that Windows requires it and may not operate properly if I delete it- so I didn't. Apparently the demo utility that we use will make use of a multimedia system if it finds itself being installed on one. |
