Anybody have an idea of whats wrong when a packetprobe spits out: drv_init error 1 ifn 2 The probe continually boots over and over again, after this message comes out. It started this wacky behavior after being moved. I'm assuming that something in the hardware is fried. Is this a sound assumption? -Craig

After some further digging, I found note 458 which describes the power supply "quirk". It seems that I was bitten by this. My customer wound up getting an AA power supply, after ordering a probe 90 to go into a hub900. This supply worked. When I moved the probe, I used another AA supply, and got whacked. If I go back to the original power supply, everything is cool. They subsequently ordered another probe, standalone this time, and got the BA power supply in the kit. -Craig |
