| | We see no reason to want to use a 90TS as the hub manager in a 900.
Anyway, it requires new firmware, and
    it's unsupported.

| | Maybe I do not understand the question clearly but as mentioned in 2065.8
DECrepeater 90TS a 90FS can act as IP service modul for hub managenent.
Please correct me if I am wrong ...

| | The DEChub 900 has its own internal hub manager, called the Management
Agent Module or MAM. There is no other module necessary for "SNMP
    management".

However, the MAM does not have a network interface, so to communicate
with it you must use either the out-of-band management port or in-band
using one of the inserted module's network interface to provide IP
connectivity. As you point out, 2065.8 shows that the DECrepeater 90TS
and 90FS can provide this IP service.

Sometimes I mis-speak. What I would like to know is if the 90TS can
provide IP services for the DEChub 900?

Well, if that's the case, then there is a bug. I used a 90TS to provide
IP services to a DEChub 900 and it doesn't work correctly. It times out
at indeterminate points. Is this something which would need to be
    fixed?

| | I've been going down this same route with BofA and the info I got this
moring is the DR90TS *CAN NOT* supply IP-Services to a DEChub900
chassis (mam) TODAY! It is planned to support this function (bus
master) at some time in the Fall-95 timeframe, BUT NOT NOW!!

Is my info correct? I assume the work-around is loan the customer a
    DECagent90 in the mean-time...

The DECrepeater 90TS WILL DEFINITELY supply IP services for
a DEChub 900MS. What it will NOT do is be the bus-master for a
    DEChub90 today.

Well, since Ed has said that the 90TS will supply IP services, I guess
I'll have to log an official call to report my bug. When I use the 90TS
in a DEChub 900 with multiple modules, it fails.
