2199.0. "90T <--> 90T via UTP x-over?" by WOTVAX::64021::Tim_Banks (Network Mercenary) Tue Apr 18 1995 13:31

Can I just sanity check this config?

Is it a valid config, if you connect two DECrepeater 90T's
together via two UTP ports using a cross-over cable?

A customer is doing this but is seeing a high
collision rate.

Thanks

2199.1OK, but watch the repeater hopsNETCAD::HERTZBERGHistory: Love it or Leave it!Tue Apr 18 1995 14:553
    It is a valid configuration, yes. But watch out for the total repeater
    count in the network. This configuration already has two repeater hops
    between the ports of 90T #1 and the ports of 90T #2.
