The Dechub90 Ethernet Backplane Owners manual gives two reasons why
two decbridge90 devices cannot be connected to the same backplane.
One of which is:-
"The Dechub 90 backplane +12v power supply can only support one Ethernet
backbone transceiver circuit"
(2-16 FIGURE 2-10)
I understand that 2 bridges on the same backplane is an illegal config
but I have tested a config with a decbridge90 in slot 8 and a
decrepeater90FA in slot 7 and used the AUI port simultaneously on both
devices. Am I really risking the power supply or is this a mis-print?
Paul.

It is not recommended due to the fact the bridges have a very limited
200 station address table.

The power supply can handle both a DB90 and another AUI device
simultanously.
