this is the ISO/OSI transport layer. Comparable to DECnets NSP or TCP in TCP/IP. Like a lot of things in OSI there are a lot of options in the transport layer so ISO TP0, TP1, TP2, TP3, and TP4. TP1 and TP3 are seldom implemented and TP0, TP2, and TP4 are implemented in our Phase V product. TP4 is the most sophisticated implemented error correction and multiplexing, and probably the most often used. |
