You will need to stick one each of the following into each DEChub to manage
your DECrepeater 900FL (900TL/900SL) using HUBwatch:
- Power Supply
- Power Cord
- DECrepeater 900FL (900TL/900SL)
- A device to perform IP Services for the MAM. One of:
* DECmau 900TH
* Ethernet repeater (intelligent ones - see list elsewhere)
* DECconcentrator 900xx
* DECswitch 900EE/900EF, DECbridge 900MX, PEswitch 900TX
For the DECrepeater 900FL/900TL/900SL, management is pretty simple. You
get a Token Ring summary window (also used by the DECmau 900TL and the new
DECmau 900TH), which displays:
- uptime
- revisions
- ring speed
- forced speed (what is the switch on the repeater set to)
- a port table. For each port:
* user can enable or disable port
* user can enable or disable autowrap per port.
* user can see port state (wrapped/ok/badspeed/other)
- Factory reset the repeater
- Reset the repeater
- Remove/insert whole device from ring.
The HUBwatch LAN interconnect window can be used to put the repeater on
either Token Ring LAN, or remove it from both LANs, and to see the state
(ok or wrapped) of the LAN connection.
For the DECmau 900TL, you can , in addition to the features supported for the
repeaters, you can also change the forced speed of the device.
For the DECmau 900TH, you get a lot more management ability, including:
- Active Monitor, Autopartition Process, and Ring Poller Process control
- A Ring Map List window
- A Ring Error Monitor display window
- A dot5 MAC Counters window
