I would like to do a sanity check of the following config. Assume the Gigaswitch as the FDDI main concentrator. Therefore the primary ring connection will be to the gigaswitch. The DH900 MS on top will be the intermediate hub, and the 900 hubs on each floor will be the horizontal hub. The customer requires FDDI to every hub. So, is the following config Valid? ... the best approach? 900 MS B A C K P L A N E |======FDDI======| |B A| ---------- ---------- | 900 MX | | 900 EF | | Conc | | Switch | ---------- ---------- A| M|M|M| |B | | | | | ---------+ | | | +---------- Primary | | | Primary Ring | | | Ring | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |FDDI | | +---A-900EF Sw (1) | | 900TM Rptr (n) (3rd fl) | | 900TM Srvr (n) | | | | FDDI | +-----A-900EF Sw (1) | 900TM Rptr (n) (2nd fl) | 900TM Srvr (n) | | FDDI +-------A-900EF Sw (1) 900TM Rptr (n) (1st fl) 900TM Srvr (n) Can the M port of the concentrator be connected to the A port of the 900EF switch? This is a dual ring on the backplanes with a tree structure off the front bezel of the concentrator to the remote hubs. Any ideas will be appreciated> Merlin
